Long Ago School Days Field Trip
Posted by Denise Gieschen on Monday, November 09, 2009The First Graders had a wonderful experience this morning visiting the Dearborn Historical Museum. Ms. Bernice talked to us about what it was like to go to school in the early 1900's. We wrote on real slate boards with slate pencils. We heard about all the chores children were expected to do before and after school. We visited the house on the property...no heat, no lights, no running water, and NO TV!!! We have much to be thankful for!

Top Dog Readers

First grade has SUPER TOP DOG READERS! In the month of September our class has read over 750 books, and we are still counting! Two students have needed additions on their dog houses to hold all their dog stickers! One student has read 170 books! We LOVE books in our classroom!! Keep up the super work, first grade!

Alphabet Fun Web Sites

I am hoping to post sites every few weeks. Play the games....see your child progress! These are alphabet related..most you see the letter and hear words that have the same sound. There are fun games to each! ENJOY!!!
