Alyssa Husby Alyssa Husby

Alyssa is very excited to be part of the Guardian Lutheran School staff. Around the building, she is also known as "Mrs. Husby", "Mrs. Librarian", "My Library Person", "Our Reader Lady", and "The Book Teacher" and happily responds to any of these names. When she came to Guardian, Alyssa fulfilled a life-long dream of becoming a children's librarian, fueled by a passion for reading, children's literature, and inspiring a love of books in others. She is married and has two avid readers, Natalie and Noah, who both attend Guardian Lutheran School. Alyssa truly feels that God gave her an opportunity to do what she loves, and she feels blessed to be able to pass along her excitement to the students. "This school is an amazing place to be an educator. My favorite part of the day is when I do read-alouds for each class, even the older kids. A student gets a look in their eyes when they really connect with a book - and that can be a spark that ignites a love of reading."
