Why Choose Guardian
ABOUT US
"As we share the love of Jesus with all who enter our door, Guardian Lutheran School strives to nurture families and through quality, Christ-centered education, to prepare students academically to integrate faith and life."
Guardian Lutheran School has helped students excel and learn in a nurturing Christ-centered environment for 50 years. We welcome children of all faiths and ethnic backgrounds to our preschool and grade school programs that are designed to help students grow spiritually, intellectually and socially. Guardian also strives to nurture families. In our family focused environment, open communication and active parental involvement are encouraged to ensure each child's success.
Being respectful, courteous and considerate of others, learning the importance of working together, accepting responsibilities and appreciating privileges are all attitudes that we nurture in students to prepare them to work as God's people in the world.
ACADEMICS
Our curriculum seeks to develop each student's potential with skills, work habits and learning techniques that will result in academic excellence. Guardian Lutheran is fully accredited by the National Lutheran School Association (NLSA) and Michigan Association of Non-Public Schools (MANS).
Guardian Lutheran students consistently perform better than the national average on the IOWA achievement tests (2009 IOWA Test Scores) which are administered annually in second through eighth grade. Students benefit from small class sizes taught by state certified and highly qualified teachers.
TECHNOLOGY
Guardian Lutheran School's facilities include a 25 seat, fully equipped computer laboratory which is used by our students for computer classes starting in 4th grade. Our younger students also use the computer laboratory for accelerated reader quizzes. Additionally, all Guardian classrooms are equipped with laptop computers and projectors to enhance the learning process.
EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES
In addition to being academically stimulating, Guardian offers many programs and extracurricular activities to help our students discover and develop their unique talents and gifts as given by God.
