As a parent of multiple children, I have gotten to see the strengths of Guardian in all grade levels. One of the things I appreciate the most is how our children are challenged academically to equip them for success in the future, also enabling them to develop a relationship with Christ. Although it can be difficult as a parent to take a step back and let your child learn on their own and potentially struggle through something new; with the support of the teachers, we’ve been able to witness tremendous growth in our children academically, socially, and spiritually. We are so blessed to have the Guardian community in our life as we raise our children to be disciples for Christ.

Both of our boys have been attending Guardian for the past six years. As a teacher myself, I’m continuously impressed with all that Guardian focuses on and makes a priority.

We are very grateful for the tight-knit community that we have at Guardian, the academic expectations are not watered down, and Jesus is prevalent throughout all aspects of teaching and the school day.

Another great aspect of Guardian is that students from Kindergarten - 8th grade have outside recess nearly every day, they only stay in for rain and extreme temperatures. As research shows, movement, including recess, is an integral part of child development and student growth.

Each year Guardian offers different after-school clubs and my children enjoy learning new skills through these clubs. There are also many sports offered starting in fifth grade!

Our children have also learned so many leadership qualities through Guardian. There are opportunities for students to lead built in and focused on in every grade. Classes lead chapel throughout the year, helping students work on public speaking. Through the Guardian school-family groups, older students partner with younger and new students to help them become part of the GLS family and community. Students also have opportunities to be leaders of class projects as well as different internal student programs.  

We are very grateful for the spiritual foundation and academic success our children have through Guardian Lutheran!

Years after graduation, our children still talk about the teachers who encouraged them, prayed with them, and believed in them. Guardian wasn't just a school—it was a place where they were known, loved, and challenged to become the people God created them to be.
