Early Childhood

Early Childhood

Guardian Lutheran's Early Childhood curriculum helps to develop the cognitive, physical, and social development of your child in a Christian environment.  All classrooms incorporate age appropriate programs to help children grow in the following key aspects of school readiness:

* Stable relationships with adults who are emotionally invested in your child.
* Group settings offering peer interactions and the opportunity to learn social skills.
* Consistent, predictable daily routines that are part of your child's schedule.

Theme-Based Curriculum is also used in the classroom.  Teachers plan curriculum according to the weekly theme.   Children learn things based on what they already know and activities are planned based on what they want the children to study and learn, in turn linking new learning to old.  Art, songs, stories and learning centers are all based on the theme being taught, linking the subject-matter together, and giving children with different learning styles an opportunity to use their particular talents.

In a Christian setting children will be free to explore their environment, express feelings and begin to understand and control them in a forgiving atmosphere through the grace of God. The staff of Guardian Lutheran Early Childhood regards the development of the whole child as their primary goal. We provide a caring and nurturing environment that promotes the physical, social, emotional and cognitive development of each child. We work to create an atmosphere that will allow each child to feel comfortable and secure while they are away.
